Music Ministry

Vision:
To create an atmosphere where God’s people can worship in spirit and truth.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
Psalm 150:6

Vocalists:
A group of individuals, passionate about worshipping the King, help in leading the congregation into the presence of God. Vocalists are on a month by month rotating basis.

“Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals!”                    Psalm 150:3-5

Minstrels:
We have skilled musicians that accompany our praise and worship vocalists. Pianists and drummers are used on a rotating basis due to the number of musicians our congregation has been blessed with. Currently, we also have an acoustic guitarist, a flutist, and bass guitarist.

Practices take place at 9:00 a.m. Sunday mornings for that day’s service, and normally Sunday after service for the following Sunday.

Technical Worship Arts:
This ministry team is the life blood of the music ministry. Sound Technicians are responsible for all aspects of audio projection, sound equipment, recording of messages, and lighting. Computer Technicians are responsible for all visual projections, such as videos, PowerPoint presentations, announcements, song lyrics during worship, and scripture references during the message.

Dramatic Arts & Interpretive Dance:
On holidays and special occasions we use drama and/or dance to enhance the overall message of the gospel. This ministry usually involves many different individuals and talents: choreographers, dancers, casting, speaking/singing parts, script writers, costuming, and a staging crew.

Decorative Worship Arts:
We are committed to create a visual and prayerful environment that welcomes all guests and members that enter our place of Worship. We decorate for the different seasons of the year.

Ordinances:
Ordinances are worship and faith disciplines that have specifically been ordained by Jesus in His instructions to His followers. We believe the ordinances are symbolic of something that is happening in the believer as a direct act of God’s Spirit. The symbolic act witnesses to an inner reality. These symbols affirm and remind us of what God has done in Christ. What a joy it is to serve those who will share in these disciplines. We welcome assistance in the preparation of Communion, Foot/Hand Washing, and Water Baptism.

At Fraser Road Church of God, we welcome you to be a part of our Music Ministry.
