Our senior group is made up of men and women 55 years and older.
Our group consists of 25 to 30 people at most gatherings. Twice a year we get together with other area Church of Gods; in the Spring (May) we have an area wide picnic and in the Fall (October), a Fall Banquet. Usually more than 100 turn out for this event!
We meet once a month for lunch or dinner (we love to eat, potlucks are one of our favorites!) and to fellowship with each other. As a group, we are concerned about each other spiritually and physically. As seniors, we support our church financially and though our prayers. Also, many of our men and women have worked on the new addition, either physically or by providing meals. We look forward to many outings that we go on to sights of interest either locally or within the state. Sometimes we just go to one of our members homes and have a picnic there and lots of fellowship.
Some area of interests that we have visited are: Ausable River Boat Ride Color Tour, Huckleberry Railroad, Turkeyville, Amish Stores, Octagon Barn, Antique Toy and Firehouse, Tridge in Midland, Bay City Museum and Trolley ride, Tour of Homes in Bay City, and the Princess Wenonah Boat Ride. We have also had many gatherings at church and at members homes, such as: Dick & Anna Willette’s home in Millington, Janet Setula’s summer camp in Linwood, and at Betty Rosinski’s cabin in Mio.
